From this week's parsha comes the priestly blessing, yiverechecha
Thus shall you bless the people of Israel. Say to them:
The Lord bless you and protect you!
The Lord deal kindly and graciously with you!
The Lord bestow His favor upon you and grant you peace!

Thus they shall link My name with the people of Israel, and I will bless them.


Luba Bar Menachem is the artist who bestows this paper cut version of the Birkat Cohanim upon us. Luba Bar Menachem was born and raised in Russia. She immigrated to Israel in 1971. For the past twenty years she has been illuminating Judaica, with a special interest in the tradition of Jewish paper cuts. Among her achievements are many illuminated Ketubot, Megilot, and decorated scriptural verses. With her paper cutting and illuminating techniques she uses 24k. gold leaf, painting and watercolors on paper and parchment. Luba's work is widely known throughout the world and hangs in many public institutions and private collections. Her work has been reproduced of late in the form of Fine Art Prints and laser cuts. Today she works and lives in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City in Jerusalem.
