I used this quote in the 11th grade when running for vice president of the senior class (I lost despite my very impressive speech). Although I was referring to the work entailed in running a prom, Rabbi Tarfon in the Pirkei Avot (Sayings of the Fathers) was referring to the study of Torah and to the (Jewish) obligation to continue throughout one's life to "repair/perfect the world" (tikkun olam).This lovely piece of original calligraphy is available from Jerise on etsy.
