Preservation

I have become increasingly interested in preservation and conservation. I am amazed at the artistry and science that is involved in saving antiquities.

While looking for new and unique Omer Calendars I found an article from the Chicago Conservatin Center about an OLD Omer Calendar. The piece is lovely and the work that was done to save and savour this piece of Judaica was painsaking.

Are you interested in reading about the conservation of Judaica? You should read People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. It is a well written novel which tells the life story of a Passover Haggadah.
