Trees, glorious Trees

Did you know that FEBRUARY 9th, not January 9th (like I mistakenly published last week) is Tu B'shevat, the Birthday of Trees on the Jewish Calendar? In Israel this holiday holds much meaning, because over the last 60+ years the desert has become a lovely garden.

Here is some felt work that obviously grew under the loving hands of Helen of Deeply Felt.

Let's plan on viewing more treees and green in art over the next few weeks!

By the way, if you are interested in the greening of Israel and the mideast, you may find this blog very interesting: Green Prophet
And thanks to Chana and the anonymous reader who got me back to the present!
